Hamak is advancing the Akoko Gold Project, a highly prospective near-surface gold asset located in Ghana’s prolific Ashanti greenstone belt, one of the most productive gold regions in West Africa.
Akoko benefits from extensive historical work and is strategically positioned close to major operating gold mines and established infrastructure.
The project hosts a defined gold resource in oxide material that is believed to be well suited to low-cost open-pit and heap-leach mining, offering Hamak a clear pathway to near-term value creation.

- Exploration and historical work at Akoko have delivered a strong technical foundation:
- An Inferred gold resource of 276,500 ounces, defined through historical drilling and evaluation.
- Hamak’s initial due diligence has confirmed a robust 252,659 ounces of contained gold at an average grade of 0.58g/t., using conservative modelling assumptions.
Akoko Project
- Akoko is located approximately 25km south of Tarkwa, within Ghana’s Ashanti Greenstone Belt. It lies close to the primary mining centres at Tarkwa and Obuasi where major equipment suppliers and internationally accredited laboratory services are readily available.
Active due diligence and exploration planning
Following a successful site visit by Executive Director Karl Smithson, Hamak has progressed technical, legal and operational due diligence at Akoko.
Key workstreams underway include:
• Independent legal verification of licence tenure.
• Selection of an experienced drilling contractor for a planned 4,250m reverse circulation drilling programme.
• Detailed topographical surveying across the main zones of gold interest.
• Ongoing engagement with local communities and traditional authorities ahead of drilling.
